Chinese artist Yu Duoki (Ju Duoqi) recreates the world-famous paintings from potatoes, onions, cabbage and other vegetables. Born in South Duoki in 1973 in Chongqing. In 1996 graduated from the Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts. Since 2005 working as freelance artist. She currently lives and works in Beijing.
Ju Duoqi’s kitchen is her studio, and vegetables are her paint.
Using vegetables of all shapes and sizes, she recreates famous masterpieces.
Her art breathes new life into ordinary vegetables, taking ‘green art’ to the extreme using everyday vegetables
such as tofu, cabbage, ginger, lotus roots, coriander, and sweet potatoes.
